A multi-partner campaign building climate literacy and action through webinars, workshops, and on-ground activities, uniting sectors to advance the urgent message: No Time to Waste in the face of climate change.

10,000 Knowledge Hour Climate Change Awareness and Action Campaign

Led by EQUINOCT with the support of Indian Oil Corporation, BPCL Kochi Refinery, L&T Construction, Mantrapoynt Applications, and academic and community partners, this campaign aims to build climate literacy and action among diverse stakeholders through a blended model of webinars, workshops, and on-site activities. Anchored in the urgency expressed by the IPCC Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5°C, the campaign promotes the message “No Time to Waste” and engages sectors ranging from energy and education to governance and civil society.

“No Time To Waste" Campaign (January 2021 -August 2021)

10,000 hours campaign, “No Time to Waste‟ in line with ‘Saksham 2021’, energy awareness programme by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and PCRA. The campaign was initiated to instill the urgency and immediate need to understand, assess and act to address the multiple impacts of global warming and climate change. It was run through online and offline seminars and workshops, Kochi FM radio broadcasts and short you-tube videos. The campaign was launched on 17th January 2021 and reached the target on August 2021. The Programme was conducted in line with ‘Saksham 2021’, the annual month-long awareness programme by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and PCRA.
